Car repair on Öland
When something sounds wrong, lights up on the dashboard or refuses to start, you need quick diagnostics. We repair and diagnose all kinds of vehicles at our workshop in Löttorp.
Car
For most people the car is simply essential — no bus runs early enough if your shift on the mainland starts at seven. A breakdown mid-week is a real problem, not just an annoyance.
Modern cars store fault codes in over a hundred control units — without the right gear it's guesswork, and guesswork gets expensive. We read every system, give you a clear picture of what's wrong and a fixed quote before we start.

An estate is often hauling a trailer — building loads, a boat, a caravan. That puts strain on the drivetrain and suspension in a way an empty car never sees.
The tow-bar wiring, rear suspension bushes and strut top mounts are typical wear faults on an estate after 100,000 km. We deal with that kind of work so you can tow safely without anything feeling loose.

An SUV is heavier, pricier and has more electronics than a regular car — most modern SUVs have air suspension, adaptive AWD and driver-assistance systems that need the right diagnostic gear.
Air-suspension compressors fail after 8–10 years and are expensive at the main dealer — we often source quality alternatives at half the price. We run the same diagnostics as the dealer and give you an honest list of what must be done now and what can wait.

A van is a toolbox on wheels — when it stops, so does the tradesman or the delivery. Usually full of kit that has to come out before we can work on it.
We know time is money on a van and we schedule same-day work whenever possible. Drop it off in the morning and it's usually out before the day ends — call first so we can prepare.

A motorhome is usually a big Fiat Ducato or Mercedes Sprinter chassis carrying a living cell — two systems in one vehicle. Many are over five metres tall or seven metres long and don't fit in an ordinary workshop.
Electrical issues between chassis and living area are the most common — charging relay, 12 V system or solar input. We diagnose both sides and have the door height to take in integrated motorhomes too, so you don't have to drive to Kalmar.

A tractor on an Öland farm is no hobby machine — it cuts hay when the weather allows and brings in the harvest when the time comes. A broken tractor in June can mean a lost crop.
Hydraulic faults, clutch trouble and PTO electrical faults are the most common urgent jobs. We prioritise tractors when it's urgent — call first thing and we'll try to get you running the same day, even if it means evening work.

The truck on Öland is usually a Volvo, Scania or Mercedes — heavy systems built for daily duty. It hauls gravel, feed or building materials, and there's no spare truck in the garage.
Brakes, air systems, retarder faults and exhaust aftertreatment (AdBlue/SCR) are the most common urgent failures on modern trucks. We have diagnostics for Volvo/Scania/MAN/Mercedes — and workshop space for the whole rig, not just the tractor unit.

A bus in scheduled service runs to a timetable — missing one route affects dozens of passengers and the day's whole plan. The driver is experienced and picks up the slightest vibration or wheel-bearing noise.
Air suspension, air brakes and door systems are the common repairs — awkward to diagnose without the right kit. We can often take the bus overnight so it's out on the first morning route the next day.

Mowers, chainsaws and brush cutters are small engines that need to deliver full power from the first pull. When new they cost very little, but a half-broken machine becomes a Saturday irritation.
Most problems are one of three things — stale petrol, dirty carburettor or a dead spark plug. We diagnose in half an hour and tell you honestly whether it's worth fixing: a new blade and filter is cheap, a new engine on a fifteen-year-old mower isn't.

Mopeds and A-tractors live outdoors year-round for most owners — rain, sea salt, winter darkness. It's often a vehicle used daily by a young rider, so reliability is everything.
Corroded electrical connectors and failing ignition systems are the most common reason a moped suddenly won't start one morning. We have test gear for both older and newer moped engines — the fault is usually found within the hour.

A motorcycle is used a shorter season but harder per mile than a car — heat, vibration and water hit the components directly. The owner usually knows the bike well and spots any change straight away.
Brakes, clutch and electronics are safety-critical on a bike — small faults shouldn't wait until after summer. We prioritise motorcycle repairs during the season (April–September) so you're back on the road as soon as possible.

- lightbulb
Photograph the warning light
If a light comes on briefly — snap a photo. Sometimes it clears before you reach us, but the fault code stays stored and the picture helps us find the cause.
- check_circle
Listen in the first minute
New noises are usually clearest in the first minutes from a cold start, before engine and brakes warm up. Don't drown them out with the radio — note what it sounds like and when.
- savings
Fixed price before we start
After diagnosis you get a written quote before we go further. You decide — we never start work without you saying yes to the price.
- schedule
Urgent? Call first
Broken down? Call and we'll try to squeeze you in the same day. Don't just turn up — you'll often sit idling before we have a bay free.
