Moped workshop on Öland — service and repair
We service and repair mopeds, scooters and A-tractors — class 1, class 2, EU mopeds and electric mopeds. A lot of what we see are summer mopeds that have sat all winter and need a once-over before they roll again.
Service
A moped service with us covers oil, air filter, spark plug, chain (if fitted), brakes and lights. We go through the electronics and revs so an EU moped keeps its 45 km/h without cooking under the seat. Half a day, with written paperwork on what we did.
Mopeds run short trips and rarely get properly warm — the oil doesn't have time to do its job. If you ride daily to school or work, change the oil once per season regardless of distance, or the cylinder wears out sooner than it should.

Won't start, loses power, the headlight cuts out, the chain jumps — we fix all of it. Ignition, carburettor, variator, brakes and electronics. We stock parts for the common brands (Piaggio, Yamaha, Peugeot, Puch) and bring the rest in quickly.
Mopeds and scooters often live outside, catching salt from winter roads and damp from spring and autumn. Corrosion in connectors and brake callipers is the usual culprit — a cheap fix caught early, a costly one if you wait.

We change, balance and repair moped tyres — both class 1 and class 2, scooters and electric mopeds. Punctures are usually mended while you wait, and we keep the common sizes of new tyres in stock.
Moped tyres wear down invisibly along the centre line from full-throttle riding on straights — you only notice it when it rains and the rear starts to slide. Check tread depth and age (6 years max) before the season.

- lightbulb
Remove the battery over winter
A garage is too cold for the battery — store it indoors on a trickle charger. You'll get twice the lifespan.
- schedule
Book spring service in March
In April-May every moped in the district is queued at ours. Drop yours in March and you're rolling the moment the sun shows up.
- check_circle
Lube the chain every 300 km
A dry chain drags power and wears fast. One can of chain spray lasts a whole season and is the cheapest maintenance you can do yourself.
- savings
Correct tyre pressure saves fuel
Check pressures once a month — soft tyres burn more fuel and wear faster at the edges. The right figure is on the sticker under the seat.
