Motorcycle workshop on Öland — service and repair

We look after motorcycles year-round — service, repair and tyre changes. In summer we see both local riders and visitors who've had trouble on the Öland tour, and we do our best to get you back on the road within the week.

Service

Seasonal motorcycle service — oil, filters, brake fluid, coolant, spark plugs, chain and a full safety check. Half to a full day depending on the bike. All makes, with a stamped service book for newer machines.

A bike sits still half the year, and that's hard on brake fluid, chain and tyres. Brake fluid absorbs moisture and needs changing every two years — otherwise you can lose pressure when you need it most.

Repairs

We diagnose everything from ignition and injection to electronics and gearbox. We run CAN bus diagnostics on modern machines, and we have the tools and torque wrenches to put it back together properly. A written price on what we can see up front.

Motorcycles last if they're used — standing still is what kills them. Stuck throttles, seized callipers and dry rubber hoses show up after winter. Bring it in straight away if something feels stiff, don't wait out the season.

Tyre service

We change and balance motorcycle tyres — touring, sport and off-road. New or used, fitted on the rim while you wait if we have the slot. We also check age and rubber condition before fitting.

Motorcycle tyres typically have shorter lives than you'd think — 8,000-15,000 km for touring, much less for sport. Old rubber hardens even if the tread is there, and cornering grip goes first. Replace after 5-6 years regardless of tread depth.

Tips & reminders

  • schedule

    Book spring service before Easter

When the first warm weekend comes, everyone wants to ride at once. Drop it off in February or March and the bike is ready when you are.

  • check_circle

Change brake fluid every two years

DOT fluid pulls moisture from the air even in a sealed system. After two years the boiling point drops enough that brakes can fade under repeated heavy braking.

  • lightbulb

Lube the chain every 500 km

An X- or O-ring chain lasts three times longer with regular lube. Spray on a warm chain after a ride, let it soak in overnight.

  • savings

Keep the battery on a maintainer

Motorcycle batteries are expensive and die if they sit flat through a winter. A trickle charger at a modest price saves the battery for years.
